Who is it for?

Physical and mental rehabilitation, combined with training

Poorly started horses

Lack of balance, stiffness, one-sidedness or missing foundations? We rebuild balance, straightness and self-carriage from the ground up – in hand first, then under saddle.

With veterinary approval

Horses returning after injury

What’s included?

Three pillars in one programme focused entirely on the horse

The residential programme is the top of SOREA’s services: the same team works with your horse every day, with the same approach.

  • Livery – a calm environment, regular routine, appropriate feeding and turnout
  • Training based on the academic art of riding – work in hand, bending, straightening, lateral work, then under saddle
  • Recovery – cold compression, red/NIR light, laser and PEMF matched to the workload
  • Documentation – horse profile, initial assessment, treatment log, reassessment, photos and video

How it works

From assessment to the handover ride

01

Consultation and assessment

We get to know your horse, its history and your goals. If needed, we ask for a veterinary examination.

02

Individual plan

We set the expected length of the programme, the rhythm of work and recovery, and the milestones.

03

Weekly updates

Regular written summaries, photos and video – you always know where your horse is.

04

Handover

A joint ride and a home exercise plan, so the results last beyond the programme.

Horse first. Kind by principle.

We don’t rush. The horse’s pace sets the course of the programme – that is the essence of residential rehabilitation.

FAQ

Questions about the residential programme

How long does the programme last?

It depends on your horse’s condition and the goal; after the assessment we suggest an expected duration and tell you openly if it needs to change along the way.

What is the academic art of riding?

An approach rooted in the traditions of classical horsemanship that builds the horse’s balance, straightness and self-carriage gradually, starting in hand. The aim is the horse’s physical and mental wellbeing.

Do you take horses with behavioural problems?

Yes, but we ask for a veterinary examination first, because changes in behaviour are often caused by pain. The programme only starts once this has been ruled out or treated.

Can I visit my horse?

Yes, by arrangement – and at the end of the programme we hand your horse back with a joint ride.
