Scope of practice
What we do – and what we don’t
SOREA is not a veterinary service. We provide technology-based recovery and rehabilitation support that complements – and never replaces – veterinary examination and treatment.
What we do
- Recovery and back maintenance for healthy horses in work
- Complementary support for the rehabilitation of diagnosed problems, following the veterinary plan and workload limits
- Documenting treatments and comparing observations
- Letting the owner know when a veterinary check is advisable
What we don’t do
- Diagnose, recommend or administer medication
- Replace veterinary examination, treatment, follow-up or imaging
- Treat an injured horse without a veterinary diagnosis
- Promise healing, injury prevention or improved performance
When to call the vet first?
Warning signs
- new swelling, heat or pain
- lameness or movement asymmetry
- new back sensitivity, pain reactions when saddling
- bucking or other newly appearing behaviour change
- unexplained loss of performance
In these cases: examination first → then targeted rehabilitation. If during a course your horse doesn’t improve, gets worse or shows a new sign, we recommend a veterinary check instead of further treatment.
